Immer mehr Menschen engagieren sich dafür, das Fediverse bekannter zu machen und über die Möglichkeiten jenseits der großen Tech-Giganten zu informieren. Zwar nutzen hier bereits viele das Fediverse, doch im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis gibt es oft noch Menschen, die kaum etwas darüber wissen oder nur ein falsches Bild davon haben.
Umso wichtiger sind Veranstaltungen wie die von @Corinna Balkow am Freitag, den 12. Juni 2026 in Berlin. Mit ihrem Workshop trägt sie dazu bei, mehr Menschen zu erreichen und über dezentrale soziale Netzwerke und digitale Alternativen aufzuklären.
Die Veranstaltung richtet sich dabei vor allem an politisch und gesellschaftlich aktive Menschen.
PS: Ich hoffe natürlich, dass Mastodon hierbei nur als ein Beispiel aus der großen, bunten Welt des Fediverse genannt wird. 😉
Wer also in Berlin wohnt oder Menschen kennt, für die diese Veranstaltung interessant sein könnte: gern weitersagen!

I remember seeing one of these posts before. To keep this more Lemmy-friendly, you might want to keep hashtags out of the first line. That first line will be converted to a title on Lemmy, where the hashtags become useless.
Also for any Lemmy users reading this, they do not mean to cross post. I remember seeing people cross post it last time, that's not helping. The "share" refers to functionality Lemmy doesn't support, I believe.

Ich habe mich nie mit der Mastodonsoftware näher beschäftigt. Grundsätzlich geht es wohl. Meine Sitzungsadressen sind die des Reverseproxys, sind aber auch v6.
Ausgehend funktioniert wohl anders als eingehend, da wohl mastodon oft mit docker umgesetzt ist. Und docker ist eine Geschichte für sich.
Eingehende Tests sind relativ einfach - AAAA-Record und Test auf Ereichbarkeit reicht.
Ausgehend muss man selbst eine Instanz hingestellt haben, die beide Stacks spricht.

Die social.heise.de dürfte bei Hetzner gehostet sein (oder zumindest einen Proxy von dort haben). Ich nehme an, man muss denen nur sagen, dass man gerne IPv6 haben will, weil können tun auch die das schon lange.

Man sieht deinen Account bzw. social.heise.de nicht aus den Internet mit aktuellem Protokoll. Damit kann man mit deinem Account nicht interagieren.
Denn social.heise.de ist nur auf #LegacyIP erreichbar.
Viel schlimmer sind Instanzen wie @Mastodon denn diese sieht man zwar, aber man kann nicht mit ihnen Interagieren z.B. Folgen weil der Request (Ausgehende IPv6 Verbindung) nicht möglich.

@technik hat es für Docker deployments aufgeschrieben und ein Issue eingereicht.
Mastodon.social nutzt #Kubernetes und die verwendete Management Platform kann aktuell kein Dual Stack für die Pods/Container, sofern ich das mal richtig nachvollzogen hatte.

Posts like this are also a great natural experiment to see about reply propagation. For example:
When I first checked here on neuromatch I saw 25 posts (your original posts, 14 replies, and a few more deeply nested). 2 relies said they were from lemmy, one mentioned GoToSocial. "Fetch all replies" brought in a few more replies.
your original post on social.heise.de has a couple more, including one from somebody on Mbin.
Meanwhile on piefed.social there were a total of 15 posts, most of which are also on your profile, but some aren't. There posts from somebody saying they're on Piefed (as well as the posts from Lemmy, and Mbin ). So it seems like there a bunch of posts from here that aren't making it over there
And i didn't see it in lemmy.ml fediverse community. Maybe try fediverse @ lemmy.world instead?

I also just checked on this from my GoToSocial instance (using Phanpy as the UI). It's got the same direct replies to you, but a lot fewer of the replies-to-replies and more deeply nested posts. It's hard to know how much of that is because of the lower connectivity of the instance (I don't follow all that many people from there) and how much is software differences in terms of which posts get fetched.

Yeah, maybe that was too much wishful thinking, you're right. My impression didn't come from such stats (that show what you're describing) but from the fact, that there are still more platforms joining the Fediverse and growing it. But #BridgyFed and #Ghost who have added a bunch of active accounts are also not that new anymore...
